Neverwinter combines aspects of traditional MMORPGs

If you’re a Dungeons & Dragons purist looking for the latest PC adaptation of the classic fantasy tabletop game, Perfect World Entertainment’s Neverwinter probably isn’t what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a modern MMORPG with fantastic combat and high accessibility in the world of Forgotten Realms – Look no further. Neverwinter combines aspects of traditional MMORPGs such as EverQuest or World of Warcraft and blends them with qualities of fast-paced ARPGs. It’s an electric mix that succeeds admirably, marking Cryptic Studios’ best MMO to date.

One of the things that impressed me most about Neverwinter — especially early on — were the skills, or powers. Each time you level up, you earn a point to invest in them. You can either upgrade what you have or learn a new one: an at-will, encounter, passive, or daily type. You use these in different ways. For example, at-wills you can spam as regular attacks, and encounters recharge after a cooldown.

The nice part is that Neverwinter restricts you to a tier or two of powers at a time, meaning you have enough time to really go hands-on with what’s available to you. You can learn what you like before too many options are all vying for your attention. This curbs what I think of as the skill-tree problem, where you randomly pick and try out new powers only to ditch them entirely when some other cool one catches you eye. Best and Cheapest Neverwinter Zen For Sale - Mmocs.com.

The user interface, however, is a serious issue in the console port of Neverwinter. There’s a lot of information on-screen at once, especially in larger areas. There’s your standard health bar, quest indicators with small summaries on what the next step is, a chat window, chat pop-up’s, a minimap, names of characters over their heads, flashing quest lines, admin text pop-up’s that take up a large amount of the midscreen, the list goes on and on. There’s a major information overload, especially in the more public and crowded areas, and a lot of the text is small and difficult to read if you’re sitting far back from the screen.

There’s no denying that Neverwinter is derivative. It’s a game of borrowed parts and tweaked ideas that sometimes seems a little behind the times. But each of the game’s systems, from combat to crafting, is expertly crafted--simultaneously offering depth, fun, and accessibility. Cryptic has created a finely tuned, smooth game that remembers the lessons its predecessors learned, and in the process bookends a long progeny of MMORPG development.

MechAssault Meets World of Tanks in Core Breach

Wargaming has announced a new, limited-time gameplay mode coming to World of Tanks: Mercenaries, and like other limited events turns the core gameplay on its head. This time, developers from the original Day 1 Studios team (behind the MechAssault series) are bringing anime-inspird mobile suit combat to the game. The new game mode is called Core Breach, and it’s set to run from January 29 to February 4, 2019.

While mechs may be a surprising addition to World of Tanks: Mercenaries, this mode marks a return to the roots of Wargaming Chicago-Baltimore (formerly known as Day 1 Studios), with some of the key talents behind Microsoft’s machine-mashing MechAssault series working to bring Core Breach to life. This special event is the latest in a series of crazy fan-favorite modes that flip World of Tanks: Mercenaries’ core gameplay on its head, with previous events featuring sea-faring battles, tank warfare on Mars, and even an alien invasion of Earth!

The new Core Breach mode will see players jump behind the controls of one of two devastatingly tough mechs. These behemoths pack the power of a Panzer platoon and will come equipped with machine guns, lasers and missiles. This mode is a 4 vs 4 team destruction battle where players will have to work together to bring down the enemy. Each battle lasts for 8 minutes and being destroyed does NOT mean game over as the mechs can respawn. Victory is awarded to whichever team has destroyed the most mechs, or in the event of a tie, have caused the most damage. Best and Cheapest WoT Gold For Sale - Mmocs.com.

While mechs might seem like a far cry from the more traditional tracked armor pieces seen in World of Tanks, it’s actually a return to form for the team behind it all. Wargaming Chicago-Baltimore (formerly known, at least in part, as Wargaming West) was originally Day 1 Studios. Prior to being acquired by the Belarusian-owned, Cyprus-headquartered company in 2013, members of Day 1 had a hand in making the classic MechAssault series.

World of Tanks: Mercenaries is played by more than 17 million players worldwide and is available on all generations of PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. World of Tanks: Mercenaries can be downloaded for free by all PlayStation Network and Xbox Live account holders, with stunning 4K resolution and HDR support available on PlayStation®4 Pro and Xbox One X. The epic, story-driven campaign mode War Stories can also be played for free, giving players the chance to rewrite history in immersive single-player and co-operative battles.

'Playing Hard' Tells the story of For Honor

A documentary called Playing Hard which tells the story of For Honor and how Ubisoft produced the game is now on Netflix. The documentary that takes a look inside the Ubisoft offices was originally released last year and has made the rounds at different screening events and has been sold in a physical format, and it’s now available on the streaming platform. Jason VandenBerghe, the game’s creative director, and other figureheads involved with the game’s development make candid appearances in the documentary.

The film is a stark look at the high costs of triple-A game development. For Honor’s creative director, Jason VandenBerghe gradually becomes disillusioned as the game moved beyond his original vision and out of his hands. Meanwhile, producer Stéphane Cardin burns out and leaves the team to undergo therapy just months before For Honor ships. Luc Duchaine, For Honor’s publicist, sees his health decline as he travels the world to help drum up interest in the game. “Never before have viewers been exposed to the incredible human machine that is required to create such a large-scale game,” Chartier writes on Playing Hard’s official web page. Chartier notes that after several months of shooting, his access to the production floor was revoked. After “many months and discussions,” he was allowed back. “Ubisoft bet on transparency, a quality that is missing in the game industry,” Chartier writes, noting that Ubisoft had no say over the film’s final cut.

"As the production team grows from 40 to 500 people, we witness the human theatre involved in creating and launching a major video game," the video description states. "In the world's biggest video game studio, a constantly growing team works on the creation of For Honor, a game that stages an epic war between Vikings, knights, and samurai. Like the game's characters, the main creators will face adversity that will take their personal lives to the breaking point.

While the movie was released on DVD and Vimeo in 2018, this Friday “Playing Hard” debuted on the world’s most popular streaming platform Netflix, giving more people a chance to see it. Even if you’re not into For Honor game, you shouldn’t be sceptical. “Playing Hard” gives a very interesting look inside the development processes in the triple-A studio. The movie doesn’t shy away from portraying the production problems that many other studios experience as well.

Dota 2 is one of most-played game on Steam

Potentially the latest in a line of multiplayer Valve games derived from user-created mods, the Dota 2 publisher may be looking to acquire the game’s popular new Auto Chess mod and transform it into its own stand-alone title. While the publisher hasn’t released a fully-fledged new experience since 2012’s Counter Strike: Global Offensive, this could be encouraging news for players desperate for Valve to return to the world of game development.

This free custom game turns Dota 2 into a slower, more strategic experience, as the name suggests. It is so popular right now that rumours are starting to appear that Valve wants to acquire Dota Auto Chess from the creators and make it a Valve title. Remember that DotA started as a mod in Warcraft III, while even Counter-Strike’s origins can be traced back to a Half-Life mod. Therefore, it really isn’t much of a stretch to think that Valve could acquire the incredibly popular Dota Auto Chess.

While it sounds like a neat concept, it’s hard to know what the staying power of this new fad will be. In the ever-evolving video game industry, nobody wants to be left behind, and Valve may look more than a little behind-the-times if they spend a year developing a game from which everyone has already moved on. Best and Cheapest Dota 2 Auto Chess Candy For Sale - Mmocs.com.

With the promise of cultivating a successful community and player base for Artifact within a few months of launching gone, Valve now has a choice to make. If the developer acquires the full rights to Auto Chess and hires the team responsible for it, does it put all of its resources into that basket? This could potentially lead to them taking funding or people from the Artifact team and making the decision to focus on the thing that already took off.

Dota 2 has surged back onto the top of Steam’s most-played list largely in part thanks to both the ongoing Dota Pro Circuit and Auto Chess. At the time of writing this article, there are 306,962 active users playing Dota 2 according to Steam Charts. With tournaments like the TwitchRivals Dota 2 Auto Chess Showdown popping up more frequently and top players of other games coming over to play the mod, there is not a foreseeable ceiling for this once hidden gem.

Auto Chess tournaments seem very realistic at this moment, there are a bunch of players asking about Auto Chess tournaments on Twitter as well. So what's next? Valve's official Auto Chess and a million dollar tournament for it? We will have one E-sports game that's not team-based. Sounds good to me but don't get your hopes up just yet.

Anthem’s most satisfying element is definitely the flying

Anthem comes complete with its own sci-fi universe, one with no apparent ties to previous BioWare series. In this one, you control a "freelancer," a class of bounty-hunting soldier decked out in a robo-armor suit called a "javelin." You learn exactly what happened to your dwindling ranks in an opening mission that sees you and teammates contend with unbeatable odds and suffer from a tragic loss.

The game’s most satisfying element though is definitely the flying. It’s all very clearly inspired by Iron Man, with the hovering in mid-air and general movement looking and feeling exactly how you’d imagine from the movies. You can fly or hover whenever you want and while you overheat quickly that can be circumvented by both getting better gear or by skimming water or going into a steep dive to cool down. The basics of flying are very easy to pick up but getting good creates some unique tactical opportunities that really are unlike any other game.

Landing and going at it on foot because a viable body of water wasn't around to cool off the javelin ruins the immersion and fun factor quickly. It also makes one wonder how Anthem could ever pull off a different environment that doesn't feature lush fauna and bodies of water, which might also explain the lack of variety in environments throughout the game's sprawling playspace. Best and Cheapest Anthem Power Leveling For Sale - Mmocs.com.

Most of what variety there is in early fights is due to the fact that the mechanical quality of Anthem’s enemies is actually quite good. The Ash Titan is akin to a short raid encounter, and getting behind an Enforcer’s shields to rupture their fuel tanks is always fun. But, like most things in this content-anemic world, their variety in terms of pure quantity leaves a lot to be desired.

Anthem’s combat is initially strong, engaging, and unique, thanks in part to responsive flight controls that feel good on both controller and mouse and keyboard. You can take off and fly at will, staying aloft longer if you make use of waterfalls, skim across rivers or nosedive to cool your jets. The deft ariel maneuvering transitions seamlessly into punchy third-person shooting on the ground, accented by a suite of mostly fun-to-use abilities spread across its four classes which can combine into impactful combos that promote coordinated teamwork.

The biggest difference between Anthem and the games that serve as its inspiration is certainly in the combat, however. Enemies aren't quite the bullet sponges players tend to dread early on, but the "normal" gunplay still feels rote even though it handles extremely smoothly. That's made up for by the speed of the game, the freedom of movement, and the abilities of Javelins. The latter feels great, with ultimates that make a huge difference in skirmishes and other abilities that can help turn the tide whenever it's needed. Even if the story wasn't good - which, at least early, it is - Anthem would be worth coming back to just to experience its fighting some more.

The Division 2 technical test kicks off on Thursday

Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have announced an additional Technical Test for The Division 2 in order to test some fixes they implemented, but it will be available only for some PC users from Thursday to Friday - 21 to 22 February 2019. The Division 2's Technical Test will be performed on a smaller scale as not all PC fans who pre-ordered the game will have access. The purpose of this test will be to check how the game performs after the implementation of fixes that are a direct result of player feedback from the private beta.

There are a few terms and stipulations to be aware of. The free game offer only applies to pre-orders made through a digital storefront like the Uplay Store or Epic Store. If you pre-ordered from a physical location like GameStop or Best Buy then you’re out of luck. Same goes if you pre-order a non-PC and/or physical disc version of the game. Also, if you purchase The Division 2 through some sort of bundle deal, you’re ineligible for the free game.

The Division 2 has had a few closed alpha and beta sessions prior to this week, gathering data, testing server loads, and implementing fixes ahead of the game’s launch later this spring. The development team at Ubisoft Massive is looking to test out some of the fixes incorporated from feedback obtained from the most recent closed beta from earlier this month. Expect a glimpse of early-game action and a small preview of the loot and builds available from the full game. Buy TD2 Credits from Mmocs.com with the cheapest price and fast delivery.

"There is the narrative on one side; it really supports our universe and the fantasy of The Division," says El-Ziaboui in conversation with Gadgets 360. "Purely on the level design side – I am a former level designer, so very attached to that – compared to New York City, which is very beautiful but built on a grid, Washington DC has much more variety." And for those missing fearing that The Division 2 may be totally alien to fans of the first game, he mentions that certain parts of Washington DC will feel familiar.

Ubisoft added that, beginning with the March open beta, The Division 2 fans will have the opportunity to have a first hands-on with endgame content with one "Invaded" mission. Players will experience gameplay at the level cap of thirty and unlock brand new "Survivalist," "Sharpshooter," or "Demolitionist" specializations.

Are you excited for the open beta in March? Let us know. Recently, Ubisoft announced that it will exclusively release its games on the Epic Games Store going forward. Many consider this to be a major blow to Steam because "AAA" experiences generate a lot of revenue, much more than the sales of a lot of smaller games combined.

8 Ball Pool Coins may be utilized to purchase in game items

Halfway in between a bar table and a full-sized table, 8-footers can resemble either end of the spectrum. Both 8-ball and 9-ball can be very satisfying on an 8-foot table. It's truly the best of both worlds. Starting from today, 8 Ball Pool fans will be able to purchase a special, exclusive WWE cue at one of three levels, as well as six special cues based on WWE Superstars and Legends. The Beachball Cue comes in three flavours Standard, Advanced and Premium, each with a different design and Force, Aim, Spin and Time stats. Eight-ball is a pocket billiard game played with 15 object balls and a cue ball. To win a game of 8-ball, a player must legally pocket the eight ball after which time his group of balls, either solids or stripes, is completely pocketed. The rules for 8 Ball Pool can be confusing, as there are several international variations. When playing informally for example, with friends this can lead to disagreements over the correct ruling in a given situation.

It may be fun to hop into Vegas as soon as you've saved up enough to do so, but we'd advise waiting until you have several times the entry cost before heading into a high-level match. The grind can take a while, but it means you'll be able to play more when the time comes. Frugality gives you room to suck up a loss and return for a win to double your investment. If you are not online to claim them the timer simply resets, preventing anyone from amassing a free fortune in coins. The spoils must be won in this game.

8 Ball Pool let's you shoot some stick with competitors around the world. It is wildly entertaining but can also gobble up a lot of time as you ride out a winning streak or try and redeem yourself after a crushing loss. All of this in the name of earning coins and cash to buy better cues and play at high-stakes tables. The game uses a universal table, a main ball and a total of 15 target balls from 1 to 15.

Gamers generally attempt to acquire the top and ideal 8 ball pool cues by becoming really ambitious as well as owning plenty of coins from possessing great scores. Pool money may also be utilized to purchase in game items for instance chat packs, scratches, spin and win as well as most favored, 8 ball pool cues. We spent so much time at the pool hall next door, the boss eventually bought a table for the studio. We had our own team on the league.

Path of Exile was the 9th Most Watched Game on Twitch

Path of Exile has been a success for Grinding Gear Games. The online take on Diablo's loot-based action-RPG subgenre continues to grow since its 2013 debut on PC. And it's preparing for a new audience on PlayStation 4. This is part of why Tencent bought a majority stake in Grinding Gear in May. Betrayal centers on your investigation of the Immortal Syndicate, a mysterious group. You're working with Jun Ortoi, who's a member of the Order of the Djinn.

And the very nature of the Challenge Leagues make them appealing to engaged and lapsed players alike. You start a new character, and within 10 minutes, you can take on the challenges, so you don't have to worry about coming in fresh or after not playing for a few months. And if you have friends who play, you can compare runs into this dungeon to see who gets further. Grinding Gear Games managing director Chris Wilson told me that Path of Exile could generate a mine with levels in the five figures, but they don't expect people to even crack level 1,000.

If you've dabbled in other dungeon-delving romps, you'll be familiar with the pattern of heading out into the wilderness to loot and kill left and right clicking and hitting hotbar keys to attack and cast spells, Diablo-style mopping up quests and becoming ludicrously powerful. But Path of Exile is still full of all manner of surprises. You can build a monster zoo, create your own hideout, or start fresh in a temporary world with new rules and weird twists. Buy cheap Path of Exile Currency from 5mmo.com,we promise 100% safety and fast delivery.

The problem with lower depths giving so much more loot is that it compounds the issue of rich players getting richer. It takes an extremely powerful character to delve past 600, so you need to sink tens of exalts into a character in order to pull it off. In fact, many people will never make enough money in a league to fund a single character that is strong enough. Those who do are able to then farm the hell out of incredibly profitable nodes.

You don't need to kill them. Instead, you can interrogate and bargain with them, learning more about the structure of the organisation and who you need to take out next. You can even sweet talk them into betraying their pals. It's like the Nemesis system from Shadow of Mordor/War, essentially, and it's about time we saw more developers taking a page out of Monolith's book.

The Azurite Mine asks a simple question: Are you afraid of the dark? In the dungeon, darkness deals out damage, and it turns lethal within a short time span. So, this is why Niko the Mad, who's sending you into the mine to find Voltaxic Sulphite so he can make things with it, forged the Crawler. This little machine reminds me of a farm tractor from the early 1900s, but it's your lifeline in the mine. It creates a circle of light that holds off the darkness, and it lays a line that links Delves as you travel.
